One of the first things I do when getting ready to enter into a new year is clean out my closet. I stick to the motto; New Year, New Me. So, to start I like to get rid of all the things I don’t like, wear or used in the last year to find space for things to love for the upcoming year.  I find it a fresh start to clear out your home space and get ready to target and accomplish new goals for a new year. 2016 was the year I worked on me. Meaning; I worked on loving myself more and worrying less. Needless to say, I’m walking into the new year feeling refreshed and excited.

Here’s a few other things I hope to check off for 2017.

  1. Learn a new language. I really love to travel and learning a second language has always been a dream of mine. I find it a bit intimating but, I went for it and I signed up for Spanish classes.
  2. While I’m on the topic of travel, I would love to visit Spain this year and since I’m learning Spanish I felt it would be the perfect place to start. A friend of mine told me about this app a while ago called Hopper that tracks your travel destination and dates to find the lowest available rate within the year. I watched this app like a hawk when I was ready to buy tickets to Morocco.
  3. Share more personal content on my blog and youtube channel. I want to open up a little bit more and share my experiences and lessons I’ve overcame or even what I’m going through at the moment.
  4. Get back to reading a new book every month. One thing you probably don’t know about me is that I love to read. Whenever I meet new friends who love to read we somehow always end up forming a book club. I find the idea of coming together and discussing a book with different angles and view points on the same topic fascinating. By the way, I’m currently reading “The luckiest girl alive” by Jessica Knoll.

I would love to know the goals you hope to check off for 2017 and of course any book recommendations are always appreciated.
