My Fall Makeup RoutineJessica Hart
I’ve been using a few new products for fall and felt it was necessary to share. If you’re anything like myself I’m sure you’ll leave this post wanting to try something new in your makeup routine. Here’s my fall makeup routine, Let’s get started.
After cleansing and moisturizing my skin I start with foundation. I’ve been loving the results and lasting powder of the Loreal infalliable pro-matte. If you have oily skin and you need your foundation to last up to 8 hrs then this will be your best friend. It’s matte but not too matte that it looks dry. Definitely skin like with a light layer.
Bronzer– this step is essential in my opinion for my face to look pulled together, otherwise I look flat and sickly to be honest. It warm up the face and if you go heavy handed (of course with the right shade) you can contour your cheekbone which can make your face instantly look slimmer. I’ve been using this MAC shade and light contour palette I picked up back in August when they had this huge sample sale in nyc. The lines were insane, but I did stand on line at 6am and got this palette for under $10.
Concealer- I don’t always use concealer but when I do I focus only in specific areas. Under the eyes for a brighter eyes wide awake look and down the bridge of my nose for a highlighted effect. Ever since I received this Kat Von D lock it concealer from influenster, (fyi sign up if you are not already. You get free makeup to test out, it’s awesome.) I’ve been amazed with the creamy consistency and coverage this concealer gives. I set both my foundation and concealer with her translucent powder for extra lasting powder throughout the day.
For brows, I keep it pretty simple and use the ELF brow pencil in taupe to fill in and brush the hairs in place.
If you are looking for a good eye lid primer this ELF eye primer and liner sealer is affordable and lasts a good amount of time on oily lids. I say close to 8 hours which is very impressive.
Eyes – Now it’s time for the lids. Ive been obsessed with warm red tones and now that it’s fall that all I wear. While on the red-brown warm tones eye shadow hunt I found this red shade called TROIS from colour pop. It glides on smooth with a bold pigmentation for only $6!. I usually darken up the outer crease with bronzer and move onto liner.
There’s many ways to create the perfect winged liner, but in my opinion getting them remotely close in shape is key. Giving myself a pad on the back for a good liner job. I start with the angle of the wing first then connect it after. There’s an easy step by step tutorial here if you need help in that area. I curl my lashes and add a few coats of mascara.
Lips – I’m currently enjoying both the; Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in 201 which is rich red and Colour Pop (Stingraye) for the ultimate fall mauve bold lip. While the Armani is creamy the colour pop is a matte. The combination of both makes it comfortable on the lip with a long lasting staying power.
