Apple picking has been an ongoing tradition I love during the fall. This past weekend, the crisp morning air on the drive upstate from the city was perfect and the views of the mountain top are picturesque. We usually go a different place every year or so to try to experience new things and surroundings. This year I made it my mission to figure out where we went 10 years ago. It was hands down one of favorite experiences when it comes to apple picking, and Sherwynn and I wanted to re-live that feeling all over again. If you’re in the New Paltz, NY area Apple Hill Farm is the place to go.
That morning I finally got to put on my new over the knee boots, a comfy pair of denim, a deep v sweater and wrapped a bandana around my neck for the chilly September morning. We packed a lunch and grab a coffee on the way to wake up us a bit more to begin the 2 hour drive upstate. I made sure I didn’t pack a snack because the apple cider donuts are the best there and I’m determined to figure out a good recipe to recreate these delicious little donuts. Stay tuned.
