I’m sure you guys have a stack of old jeans somewhere in your closet, like myself. Since the cropped denim trend is so huge this spring, and because I tend to have that “I can do that” interest in DIY-ing my own version of trends ( like this one or these ), I went ahead and chopped a pair myself. Today I’m sharing these simple steps to create a pair of DIY cropped flared jeans. If you’re interested in a video tutorial you can head over to my youtube channel and check out my newest video.
Pick your favorite bootcut or flare style. You’ll also need a pair of scissors and a ruff edge to fray your hems like a peeler.
Step 2. put on your jeans and start figuring out the perfect length for your crop.
I like to show off a bit more of the ankle to wear my favorite lace up style shoes.
Step 3. Cut and fray your jeans. A frayed hem is the only amount of distressing you want with this style of denim.
Step 4. Style and add a modern touch. Grab your favorite sunnies, tie a scarf around your neck or choose a simple off the shoulder top that’s perfect for the weekend.
