The Secret to Wearing Heels Without Pain
I’ve had a love-hate relationship with heels for as long as could remember, or I guess since I started wobbling in my first pair. They look so beautiful on until you’ve been on your feet for more then 2 hrs, then the beauty starts to disappear.
I entered into a beauty pageant while in high school and knew I needed to know the all the facts about wearing heels and finding a few heel hacks when it came to walking in them, especially when walking up and down the stage stairs. If you’re wondering, no I didn’t win the pageant, but it was an interesting experience to say the least.
Besides knowing the facts on finding the right shoes and adding comfort insoles there’s still a secret to walking in heels without the pain. As it turns out all you’re going to need to a piece a tape or in my case I like using a band-aid. Probably something you would already have in your purse or house, mine usually ends up in one of my messy kitchen drawers. Now, count from your big toe in to your 3rd and 4th toes and wrap those two together with your tape. When in heels, the pressure you feel on the ball of your foot is due to the nerve thats split between those two toes. When those two toes are combined and wrapped together it should alleviate the pain and pressure from the ball of your foot from standing in heels.
I’ve been using this trick for a while and can attest that this actually works for me. Let me know your favorite tips, tricks and ways you like walk in heels all day. On that note, here are a few favorite heels I’ve wore repeatedly on the blog most likely sporting the tape trick.
