I’m usually the simple coffee type, especially in the morning. The first thing I usually do every morning, even before I head to the bathroom and brush my teeth is start the coffee maker. My husband likes coffee just as much as I do, so going on coffee dates is a normal part of our relationship. And now that the holidays are right around the corner, all my favorite specialty coffee flavors are in season. I started seeing more and more recipes done right at home and felt it would be a fun, sugary change to my regular morning cup of joe. Here are the steps and my (non-dairy) take on the caramel brulee latte:
I’m using Hershey’s Caramel Sauce found in just about every grocery store to line the sides of the mug. Try holding it at an angle and turn the mug while you are pouring the sauce.
Add a teaspoon of vanilla bean syrup for extra favoring.
Add your coffee or espresso and don’t forget to leave room for milk.
I typically use almond milk on an everyday basic in my coffee and figured I would steam the almond milk and add it to the latte.
Making one of these yummy, warm drinks is actually super easy. With a few simple ingredients you’ll have the perfect coffee shop drink right at home. I like pairing this caramel latte with a warm pumpkin muffin on those days your craving a sweet treat.
