Bronzed Summer Glow Makeup Tutorial
Once the weather starts to warm up in NY I immediately want to pull out all the shimmer and bronzed makeup in my collection. Since my skin-tone is still on the lighter side from winter I needed to use a few make-up tricks to make me look a little healthier and less flat. Here are my tips for getting a bronzed, summer glow. It’s all about glowing skin!
Foundation I start by mixing my moisturizer and foundation together for a lighter application. In the warmer months I like to go lighter in coverage, and to keep my oily skin under control I use this matte formula.
Bronzer I use a darker foundation as a bronzer base. I dab a bit on the hollows of my cheeks, temples, nose and my chin. I go over the bronze base with a powder for added color and definition with my favorite bronzer. As as you can see I love to pack on the color.
Blush I love using a lipstick as blush. I dab some on my fingers and rub it between to warm up the product and apply it straight to the apples of my cheeks and blend towards my eyebrow.
Eyes For the eyes I’m using a deep bronze shade by MAC all over the lid, and blending it up into my crease.
Highlight I’m using a Mac paint pot in rubenesque and tap it on the high points of my cheeks and down the center of my nose.
Lips Using the same lipstick on my lips and dab a small amount of rebuenesque are in the the center for a extra glow.
