I’m not the biggest chocolate lover, but when I do crave something chocolate I love to top it off with a bit of salt to balance out the sweetness. Inspire by my favorite candy as a kid, I thought it was the perfect idea to turn them into a (baked) donut. I used this cake batter recipe and a donut pan to bake the donuts, then drizzled them in homemade caramel and topped them off with salted peanuts. These snickers inspired baked chocolate donuts turned out amazing. The homemade caramel sauce and peanuts was the perfect sweet and salty touch I was craving. If not too into chocolate, you can check out my cinnamon sugar baked donuts.
