Growing up with oily skin was horrible when I was younger. My skin was prone to acne and I was oily throughout my T-zone. I got a handle on it as I got older, figuring out what products work best on my oily skin with both skincare as well as makeup. I have a secret habit of testing and trying new foundations and products to see if they do as they calm to do. In this case it was a test on the new drugstore foundation, Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless and here are my thoughts;
After my morning skincare routine, I add a dime size amount on the back of my hand and dot in on my face (for reference I’m using shade 310). To blend it into my skin I use my fingers, as that works best for me, but you can use a brush or beauty blender if available.
I finished up the rest of my makeup and headed out for the day approximately around 9am. My skin felt smooth, looked poreless and the formula instantly dried to a matte finish.
It’s around 5 pm and the lighting was a bit darker, but I wanted to report back with the results. My skin still looks poreless, still feels smooth and after about 8 hrs. of wear my skin was mostly matte, I only saw a bit of shine around my nose. I’m extremely impressed and if you have oily skin give this drugstore foundation a try.
