Chiang Mai

Sleeper Train, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Sunrise, Mountains, The way to my hart

( Sunrise at 5 am on the sleeper train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai)

I was fortunate enough to visit 3 different areas of Thailand during my 3 week trip. While each place had it’s own unique cultural attraction, Chiang Mai was my favorite due to it’s warm and welcoming atmosphere. I must admit, a lot of this feeling was because of the amazing experience I had staying at Qi68 Hotel. The eclectic decor, peaceful music and koi pond located right outside our back doors was an oasis after spending 5 days in Bangkok. We visited beautiful temples, ate great food, met wonderful people and made ourselves right at home. Here’s a peek into how we spent our week.

  • gorgeous photos jessica! we will be going to thailand in february / march of next year but sadly had to save chiang mai for another trip. march is the peak ‘burning season’ which i have been told by those that live there that on bad days the smog and pollution is so bad that it sends hundreds of people to the hospital. i have always struggled with sinus and respiratory problems, so my doctor told me it is probably for the best that we stay away from northern thailand in march.

that being said, we will be visiting bangkok {with day trips to kanabanchuri & ayutthaya}, koh phangan, ko lanta, and krabi. i honestly think that the 3-4 days we were going to have in chiang mai wouldn’t be close to enough so we are just planning on going back another time during loi krathong 🙂

    • Thank you! I’m sure your trip to Thailand will be amazing 🙂
