I’m not the biggest lover of sweets, but a good chocolate chip cookie calls my name every now and then. Let’s be honest, the best part of Valentine’s Day is the chocolate. Chocolate hearts are sold out everywhere, but my favorite little indulgence on this holiday is a crispy chocolate chip cookie.
Try these: Red Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 stick unsalted butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
12 ounces chocolate
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1. I used Candy Melts in red chocolate to create the chocolate chips. Melt the chocolate, using a piping bag and small tip to re-create a chip shape on parchment paper.
2. Mix together eggs, sugar, brown sugar and melted butter in a small bowl. Then whisk together flour, baking soda and salt in a larger bowl.
3. Mix dry and wet ingredients together. Scoop a tablespoon of the dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 16 minutes at 375 degrees F.
I like to dip, eat and drink (almond milk for me). How do you like to eat your cookies?
