Inside Hart: Christmas in the MountainsJessica Hart
I hope you’ve all enjoyed a little time off this past week, I know I did! For those that celebrate the holiday I hope you had a Merry Christmas. I enjoyed spending time with family, eating lots of food and hitting the slopes the day after Christmas. To catch up on what I’ve been up to in the last week here’s a peak Inside Hart…
My husband and I drove out to Central Pennsylvania to spend the holiday with family. We had both sides of our families come together for Christmas Eve dinner. Food, Games, drinks and dancing (usually dancing comes after the drinking). Christmas day we headed out to the mountains which is about 2 hrs. north, checked into a hotel and enjoyed a relaxing Christmas dinner together. This year we celebrated at Le Sorelle Cucina, an Italian restaurant.
The morning after Christmas is usually the view I wait for all year. The ground covered in snow with the mountains in the distance; The view from our hotel room heading to breakfast.
We started a new tradition of relaxing after Christmas with a day of snowboarding. There’s something about gliding down a mountain covered in snow that relaxes me. At that moment nothing else matters; just me, the open air and the white fluffy snow beneath my feet.
As the sun started to set we got in a few more rides down the slopes. We worked up a large appetite and filled it with sushi.
We sat back and watched the sushi chef glaze and caramelize the sauce on top of the roll for the most delicious touch at Desaki.
How was your holiday? I would love to hear all about it!
